Grupo Forestal Vulcano committed to the responsible use of natural resources. It considers forests and their responsible management as key to having a continuous legal wood supply, a supply on which its very own existence depends. For this reason, the company developed its own policies for a responsible supply chain management. Policies to ensure the legal origin of the wood, with suppliers who adhere with and share our environmental commitment. For this, the company employs control tools provided by the National Legislation of Peru, and together with control criteria acquired from different certification processes works to ensure a legal and responsible supply

Diligence of wood purchases

Supplier Registry

The supplier registry is to check supplier in different areas and determine if it’s a supplier that shares our commitment to the environment and is responsible in its management and operations

The following are the key points to check on all suppliers:

  • Legal Person or Natural Person
  • Taxpayer Registry (RUC)
  • Line of Business
  • Authorized Vouchers
  • Tax Residence
  • Branch Offices
  • Commercialized Products
  • Main Timber species
  • Legal Manager
  • Contact Person

Institutional Traceability Documents

The institutional traceability documents are to verify the origin, permits and the path the wood takes to reach the company 

The following are the necessary documents to ensure the traceability of the wood:

  • Enabling Title – Concession Contract
  • Resolution of Approval of the Annual Operative Plan (POA)
  • Verification of the enabling title on OSINFOR’s Management Information System (SIGO)
  • Forest Transport Documents (GTF) of the supply chain to support the traceability of Wood in its different transformation stages
  • Lists of Logs and Forest Origin Documents
  • Catalog of measurements of transported wood

Commercial Traceability Documents

The commercial traceability documents are to verify the origin and the path the wood takes to reach the company from a commercial standpoint. 

The following are the necessary documents to ensure the traceability of the wood:

  • Commercial Invoices and Link Remittance Documents for the entire supply chain
  • Purchase Measurements and Load Quality
  • Net Load Weight
  • Affidavit of Legality from the provider
