Agustín Balarin Gustavson, one of the pioneers in wood extraction and commerce in the forestry business, founded Maderera Vulcano in 1977 with his sons, which was established in Lima and whose main line of business was the commerce of native Peruvian woods for the local market. Today, the company is run by the sons of Don Agustín, Henry and Edy Balarin, and is one of the main lumber companies in the country. Its operations cover various products derived from wood and it´s one of the companies with the best trajectory and reputation in the international and local market.
